I did this piece for 's Winter Contest and I couldn't think of anything that said winter more than The Nutcracker. I really only had to do Rini, Chibi-Chibi or Kousagi but I figured if I did all 4 it'd be fun. Usagi is the Sugarplum Fairy, Rini is Marzipan, Kousagi is a Snowflake and Chibi-chibi is a Candy Cane or Trepak in the ballet. It's pieces like this that make me wish I would sell fan art.
Wow, that's good.. They look like they were in the middle of practicing or something, and someone just ran up with a camera and said: "Hold still, I'm gonna take a picture!"
Chibi-Chibi looks focused on the picture taker, while the others (especially the one in the middle) don't look very focused, or maybe more like they're trying to look more natural for the picture.
As far as their outfits.. The candy cane stripes are way off compared to the others. But, then again, if they're in a play, it shows that they all have different parts and their own pieces in the play.
I think you did a very, very nice job, and it looks like you put a lot of time and detail in this. I especially like the detail in their dresses and hair.
Pretty good, but next time if you draw ballet poses with characters, you might want to look at some references for posing. Two things that are off about it, one is is that usagi and the chick with purple hair (idk who that is) have their legs turned down in in arabesque and the other is chibiusa doesn't even look like she's posing for a ballet. Other then that, the picture is great. d^_^
